TO MAKE YOUR EVENT A SWEET SMELLING SUCCESS
1. What are my choices of chocolate for the chocolate fountain?
We use Belgian chocolate in dark or milk chocolate and creamy sweet caramel.

2. What is Belgian chocolate?
Belgian Chocolate: This is the best chocolate ever. It is creamy and rich in taste. If you bake, it is like baking with Whole Fat Milk instead of a 2% or lower fat milk. Both are good, but Belgian just tastes and smells better. Imported directly from Belgium. Highly recommended for wedding or events where you want to make sure everyone leaves impressed.

3. How much chocolate do I need for my event?
It depends on the size of your guest list. We suggest 10 lbs of chocolate or caramel for 100 people or 20 lbs of chocolate or caramel for 200 people. We offer extra chocolate for larger numbers at $25 for each additional 2 lbs of chocolate.

4. What are the dimensions of the chocolate fountain?
Our chocolate fountains are sturdy, commercial-grade pieces of equipment. Constructed of stainless steel, we have a 27” fountain and a 44” fountain. We also have a 17" at home fountain rental that can hold up to 5 lbs of chocolate or caramel.

5. Do I have to set up, tear down & clean up the chocolate fountain?
Are you crazy? Of course not! Fortunately, a member of our team does all the work for you. We will arrive at your special event 30-60 minutes prior to the designated starting time. The fountain will then be carefully set up and the chocolate or caramel will be melted and flowing elegantly so your guests will smell the sweet aroma of chocolate or caramel when they begin to arrive. We then will clean up and dismantle the chocolate fountain at the contracted ending time. (Please note that once the fountain is set-up, it cannot be moved due to level issues)

6. How long can I have the chocolate fountain at my event?
Our package includes use of the chocolate fountain for up to 3 hours. Obviously, this does not include set up and tear down, which are done on our time. If you need the fountain for more than 3 hours, we will gladly accommodate your request for an additional cost of $50 per hour.  (At home rentals are usually for 2 hours.)

7. What are the table & electrical requirements?
Since chocolate fountains can weigh approximately 100 pounds or more when full, we would need a level, sturdy table capable of holding a minimum of 100 pounds. If the table is not level, the chocolate will not flow properly. Your banquet facility should provide two table linens that will coordinate with your color scheme. The chocolate fountain requires a regular 120 volt grounded electrical outlet within 10 feet of the set-up location.

8. What accompaniments can be used with the fountain?
Look at our suggested dippers. The only types of food we avoid are items which crumble easily such as pound cake and angel food cake, which will interfere with the smooth flow of the chocolate. Most often, our clients use strawberries, pretzels, marshmallows, cookies (Oreos are a favorite), cream puffs, biscotti, rice crispy treats, graham crackers, and brownies. Additional uses include ladling the chocolate over Belgian waffles, ice cream, or cake.

9. Who provides the accompaniments?
We can provide them, you can provide them with prior approval on the dippers or your caterer can. Sometimes a hotel will insist on providing them. Generally, you are already working with a caterer, hotel or banquet facility to provide the majority of the food for your event. We do not wish to interfere with this relationship, and view our service as a complement to their services.

10. Do you provide the decorations for around the chocolate fountain?
When ordering the chocolate or caramel fountain without a dipping package, we only provide tulle to surround the base of the fountain. If you order a dipping package with the rentals, we fully decorate the table in elegant décor. You can also purchase the décor for an added $50 with fountain rental only or we can try and decorate the table to match your theme for an additional $50.

11. Can the chocolate or caramel  fountain be used outdoors?
The chocolate and caramel fountain is best operated in enclosed areas. Because of the chocolate's and caramel's sweet aroma, bugs are very likely to be attracted to the fountain. Beyond that, maintaining the temperature of chocolate and caramel is critical for continued smooth operation. This would be difficult to accomplish in an outside setting.

12. Do you require reservations & a deposit? 
We do require a reservation, a signed contract and a $200.00 deposit at the time of booking. Reservations are limited and are on a first come-first served basis. The balance of your payment is due a minimum of 10 days prior to the scheduled date of your event.

13. Do you accept credit cards?
We do not currently accept credit cards. We accept checks, money orders, cashier checks and of course good ole cash.

14. What area does Chocolate Creations serve?
We will serve the Charlotte metro area and for events outside the area we add a gas surcharge of $25. If the rental is more than an hour away, call to discuss.
